It was an unrestrained love for a 4/4 beat as a teenager that lead Jeremy Iliev to a desire to go a step beyond merely listening to the music, but to somehow interact with it; it seemed the only cure to this fever was to learn to mix and to wet his feet in musical production. Jeremy's childhood musical beginnings, well before his passion for house music, set the solid foundation for a detailed understanding of musical theory that is incorporated into Jeremy his DJ sets and musical productions today.
Cue the year 2007 and Jeremy stepped out of the bedroom for the first time to enter the Central Battle DJ Competition. A combination of harmonic/key mixing on 3 decks and a unique selection of house music saw him beat out a field of over 30 DJs to place 1st overall in the competition. Proving this wasn't a fluke, Jeremy was was announced a runner up in the nationwide Pioneer Pro DJ Search 2008.
Propelled forward by these competitions, Jeremy picked up a number of festival and event bookings, and the wide range of his musical scope quickly saw him offered residencies at all ends of Brisbane's house music spectrum.
Since breaking out in 2007, Jeremy has played alongside a slew of international and national DJs including James Zabiela, Ben Watt, Don Diablo, Ricky Ryan, Miles Dyson, Groove Terminator, Ajax, Bass Kleph, Ivan Gough, Hook & Sling, Mark Dynamix, Matt Rowan, and many more.
A musician first and a DJ second, Jeremy's mixing style highlights the real 'music' that underlies all of the tracks he plays. Jeremy's sets showcase an eclectic mix of house music ranging from funky and jackin to bouncy electro to edgy commercial and anything in between that is energetic, sexy and above all, danceable.
Jeremy's own productions, bootlegs and edits are a feature of his sets, aimed squarely at getting feet shuffling, and never failing to do so. Jeremy's mashups and remixes have also been entered into a number of commercial radio competitions, all being chosen winners and receiving airplay.
